Speyclave at Touvelle park on the Rogue River Sept 30th 10am-4pm.

Rods to demo from Gary Anderson, Bob Meiser, Beulah, and CND.

Casting Demonstrations by FFF certified spey casting instructors Jeff Putnam and Al Burh.

Some darn good beer brat.

Currently there are over 5000 summer steelhead in the upper Rogue. If all goes as expected there should be well over 10,000 by the end of September and the fishing could be excellent.

Wow, we may be able to make that. We are already scheduled to be on the Deschutes October 2-4th and the Rogue is on our "must" rivers.

Hope you do ... just understand that it will cost you money ..

to leave with all your new toys in tow.:hihi:

Need a place to stay? Let me know.
Fred

Fish counts over Gold Ray dam ladder as of 8-22 (Gold Ray is just north of Medford and you've got about 30 miles of river up to the Dam).

Summer steelhead: 5,922
Fall King Salmon: 984
SS in Hatchery: (8-28) 994
a place to stay

To qoute Fred, "the latch string is out" Meaning my place is also open to Spey Pages members wishing to participate. Unlike Fred, I am only 6 mi, 3 traffic signals from Tou-Velle Park. And I just returned from the the Holy land with some goodies.:D

And just what kind of ''goodies'' did the GF 'allow' you to bring back?????

Depending upon Joan's flight schedules (slight change may be in the oftening) I might not be here in Ashland/Medford. Looks like (at this point anyway) Joan's plane may be coming into Portland early the MORNING of the 30th.

BUMMER!!
Layover

Might I suggest a layover in Portland for the Joanster? Like a 24 hour layover?:lildevl:

You would be surprised at the goodies the "GF" not only encouraged, but in some cases even contributed to. And for those who are wondering about the "Holy Land"? Well,,,what can I say????? You just don't get it. Do You?:chuckle:
report?

I only made it to the last hour of the gathering. Anyone have a report on how it went?
