Hello I have a few questions about this line. What kind of line would you guys consider this? Mid or long belly? And for those who has used it, what applications have you used it for? Indi, polyleaders or sink tips? And how heavy of a polyleader or sink tip will it throw?

Sorry for the many questions but today I was playing around with my 5wt switch using an 8wt 450 grain rio indicator line and was actually quite enjoying it. I was able to leave out at least 45ft of line out and cast it. I was in no means shooting line out but just being able to roll out 45ft of line with a 1.5ips 7ft polyleader and small spey fly was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately I ran out of time to test out heavier polyleaders but I was hoping if you guys know if the "switch" line would perform even better as a mid belly line and poly leaders? It looks like it has a more aggressive and shorter taper than the indicator line so I'm hoping so? Any feed back would be great! Thanks!

rio switch

I use a 7/8 on 11' 7wt thomas and thomas. mostly for indicator but works awesome for small to medium spey flies. it seems like a skagit with a running line built into it although it has alittle more taper in the back half than a skagit. i love it and this is the rod I fish im my neck of the woods 90% of the time.
