I'm wanting to purchase a new rio grandspey but I'm not sure what line to purchase because of the new line specs that they came out with. I love the old 7/8 on my salmo salar and want something that is pretty much the same. Does anyone know which line I should purchase or where I can find a new 7/8 grandspey with the old specs.

CDG,

The old GS 7/8 was 900 gr. The new GS that is the same weight it the 9/10, which also weighs 900 gr. So if you get the new 9/10 GS, it ought to be a very good match for your Salar and the rod will feel about the same as it did with the old GS 7/8.

The 10/11 Airflo Traditional extended belly line also weighs 900 grains. Sadly, they've been discontinued, and I have no idea where you could get one.

...Thanks to Zo2, I see that Mike at Red Shed has one or more Traditional 10/11s on closeout.
