I have been playing around with the technique used in the reverse maribou tube fly and applying it to different flies. Here is a video I put together for a reverse hobo spey. You can apply the technique to a variety of flies that have soft hackles it works best with maribou based flies. Basically you construct the whole fly facing the wrong way and the idea being when it gets in the current it maintains a larger profile and pulses more because the hackle is pushing against the current to face forward. Hoping to do up a video with some underwater shots soon. (full disclosure I do up these videos for a local store so it has some logos at the start) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXZsWcr9WxQ

Reverse Tying

I was just starting to apply this last night to some other winter flies and materials. Started tying a Fish Taco backwards with exceptional results.
