I can't remember the exact dimensions but since you have a micrometer you'll
be able to figure it out. Run the line through your thumb and forefinger and
you'll find the hinge--the point where the line "necks down" @ 15ft from the
tip. I would cut the line at the point where it returns to the diameter of
the rest of the line just before and just after the hinge and then splice it
back together and see how it casts for you.
