You cut the Accelerator at 17' from the tip for a sinktip, this is behind the hinge. I believe if you go 2' towards the tip with the 2nd cut you will be in front of the hinge, You should be able to tell by looking at it. If you have a micrometer and must be realy certain, just measure in front of the powerhinge until it matches the thickness of where you cut the line above the hinge.
I would then attach loops to both pieces and you are set.
I can't remember the exact dimensions but since you have a micrometer you'll
be able to figure it out. Run the line through your thumb and forefinger and
you'll find the hinge--the point where the line "necks down" @ 15ft from the
tip. I would cut the line at the point where it returns to the diameter of
the rest of the line just before and just after the hinge and then splice it
back together and see how it casts for you.
