Would jump on it, but my CPX is sweet, do you happen to know if the Chrome action is similar to the CPX?, as I do some surf with it too.
The action of the CPX is good to cast at the surf, most of the mid priced rods are some what slow for my casting style.
I am not sure about the cpx but i would imagine it is pretty fast. I believe that the chromer would be not nearly as stiff but still has fast recovery. I have cast echo3, TR, dec, sage one, method, t&t dna xf, echo glass, winston b2x and i would not describe the chromer as slow by any imagination. To me it felt like somewhere between the tr and echo3. The rod is very easy to cast and definitely has some balls. I assume you are overhead casting. My guess is with the right line you would be happy. I certainly would accept a return(minus my shipping cost) if you cover the shipping back to me if you are not satisfied. I hope this helps.
