Another pattern from Bob Veverka's book I tied on a 1/0 Partridge Bartleet XL blind eye. I attached a burnt goose spey hackle (stripped on 1 side) at the 3/4 point on the body and counter ribbed it with small wire. Then following a good tip from Speypages member MZilliox I just wrapped my Heron on at the very front and it worked great.

Yeah man, nice fly. Once you prove you can tie by recipe, its time to make subs for fishing right? to me just putting the heron at the collar is faster, stronger, and gives the same effects. maybe its not quite the way... but i think the results speak for themselves.
