MTTTB,

They differ quite a bit ...

The 11'1", 11'3" and the 11'9" rods are Highlander S rods: Stronger tip energy, deeper loading, fast speed of recovery

The 11'7" rods are Highlander Classics: Medium tip energy, powerful butt (not as deep loading) medium fast speed of recovery

The 11'3" are 5 pc ... The 11'1", 11'9" and 11'7" are 4 pc

I have the 11' 1" 4 weight Highlander S (about a year old) and it is a sweet rod. Very light in hand and nice casting. In addition to swinging flies for trout and bass, I also use it for lake fishing. It's the third Highlander S in my quiver.

What a line up!!! Those 10 footers are soooo tempting:Eyecrazy: This also means the wife deserves something special too, that's why rods cost twice as much in reality:tsk_tsk:

I've a 2/3 that Steve Gotshall built for me a few years back for trout fishing in Montana (Bitterroot River) ... ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT! (He also did the line.) Interesting to chat with the locals who've never seen anything like it. Putting a trout fly to about 90' feet with a flick of the wrist appealed to them.

Looking for some info/reviews on the top 2 rods on the above list:

S2H1002S-4
S2H1003S-4

These may be of use on a couple local summertime rivers :D

FWIW I have the 10024-4 with a 235 grain sgs scandi and love the rod . It casts like a dream and I've even cast small crane fly dries with it with some success . Dreamy rod .

The 1114S-4 is also a great rod (have used it on the Grand twice now) and in addition to the sgs 297 it also likes the opst 225 and a light Imow .

Not sure where your fishing GR8LAKES FLYER but if they are similar to the Trout section of the Grand they are both worth a shot .

cheers

Anytime sir . That fish was from last week . Yesterday had a few smaller and found a rather big smallie that would not play . I shall return .
If you wish to cast either before you jump with Mr Meiser give me a shout .

well i think it's time to try one...fishing with 6 wt speys aren't much fun with smaller fish...

I'm assuming these are typical Meiser strong rods and not fragile???
any comparison to sage 4116 ones?

very cool looking stick and fish Cold

I haven't had the chance to cast any of the lighter rods, but did cast a couple of his new rods recently, including the 13' 6/7/8 Highlander Classic. I've got an older version of the same rod and the new one is lighter, and casts better somehow. Love mine, but the new series is off the charts. Great rods made greater.

Give the shop a call. There's all kinds of new stuff coming up, and I agree with steeliesncarp- I'm playing with a demo 8126 HighlanderCX- same Highlander feel, but lighter and quicker, silky smooth.
