using my prospector 7113 switch what is the difference of a airflo rage
or casting my skagit compact switch line with a mow floating tip?

Rage is in between skagit and scandi; it will hit the water with a little more finesse than the skagit (smoother, more delicate landing/turnover)

I did the MOW tip option on my Skagit switch line last fall. Worked pretty well. I personally saw that the MOW tip I had was light enough that it presented very similarly to my Scandi that I recently picked up. Though that was after the cast began to lay out. Just my experience and needless to say i got some mojo on that setup. Either way though you should find similar performance, though I'm sure the Rage probably does the presentation job a bit better.

The difference is that your skagit with added mow tip will overload your rod if intended purpose is to cast polytips. You are better of getting rage than downsizing the skagit.
