I have fished the 1107 and the 1509 and have cast the 1409.
The 1107 is a wonderful light Spey rod (its not a club like many short light Spey rods that aim for that 'Euro' action...a nice moderate-fast progressive action) but a 11' is a little short for my tastes. It is so light however, that it will launch a shooting line off the beach a mile plus it is a light enough rod that you could single hand it all day without a problem.
When it comes to the 1509 and the 1409, the 1509 is the much better caster hands down! Like the 1107, the 1509 is a moderately fast progressive rod (think a slightly slower version of the T&T's). What, IMHO, put this rod above many others is the material it is made out of. The Tiboron blanks are incredilbly light but most importantly, they recover incredibly fast which in turn creates a rod that generates incredilbe amounts of line speed and very light loops with very very little effort.
