Is there any place in your teaching that addresses posture and its importance. It seems to me to be critical. Poor posture or flexing at the waist during the delivery cast causes the caster to finish the STOP too low leading to poorly formed, big gaping loops. If I have this right, the caster needs to limit the number of "flex points". Bending at the waist, flexing the elbow, the wrist make it almost impossible to stop the rod.

If you have not watched Derek Brown's video you owe it to yourself to do so - he spends considerable time on discussing posture and how poor posture will destroy a cast!!

Clyde, I think he says "Stuund Prrrouuud."' At least I hope he does, since that's one of the two mantras I intone to amuse myself on slow days. The other is, "There'us noooooooooo russsshhhh." :D
