Heading out today as part of a steelhead order. These muddle rhead leeches just push so much water under the surface.....definitely a solid choice for dredging down around the rocks to agitate every steelhead in the hole!

Thanks Loren, I appreciate the kind words.

No composite loop though. I make a ball of dubbing, then use some nice Pheasant Hackle (could use Schlappen or whateve tickles your fancy though!) then I make an angel hair ‘shroud’ around it, and add a few pieces of Amherst on top to even provide more lift for wing.

I should tidy it up a bit so it doesn’t look so composite loopy!!

I like not using comp loops for various reasons, one being less material and more control. But, another reason is I like to make the top of the angel hair against the pheasant longer and reverse tied to begin to get a tapered wing before laying in the actual wing......not sure if that makes sense
