Nice colors, excellent hackling with the schlappen, excellent throat or face hackle, very nice ribbing, and good body proportions with the body starting in front of the hook point. All of these are good spey fly characteristics. Although you didn't ask for suggestions on how to improve the fly, the wing is a little short. Spey fly wings are between a little longer than the body to about 1/2 the way to the hook bend. You have very good tying skills and this small adjustment in wing length will make a huge difference in the look of your spey flies and they way they fish.

Love this fly! My fav color combo, reminiscent of Silvey's Snowcone which I was looking at this morning for poaching some tying ideas for the Deschutes. Since I haven't ever tied spey flies, I really like the extra flare your wing gives this pattern. Sounds like you're on track to the perfect Spey fly, Nicely done! I look forward to some more soon...
