Wanted to get some advice from anglers who use double-handed rods for overhead casting from the beach here in the Pacific Northwest. What length, wieght, and action of rod do you use and what lines are used under different conditions(tides, depth, season, weather conditions, etc) and the species you're targeting?Would also like to hear from the anglers on the east coast who fish from the beach.

I do a little in alaska and washington. Mainly for silvers. I use a 11' #7, with a sa short head line. My flies are generally weighted so a straight floating line works well for me. I use a a sa short head one line heavier and cut it down in length to match the rod.
