Yep ... Ohio ... there was a road trip to Ohio with the Michigan Fly Fishing Club last week end. We fishing rivers on both side of Cleveland ... Vermillion, Grand and Conneaut Rivers. This is urban fishing and the people were a little closer then I would like. The water was very low, but there were fish and they were fresh from Lake Erie and hot. Most of the guys on the trip caught fish and had a good time. The Ohio DNR plants 400,000 fish from the Muskegon River in Michigan each year. There is no natural production in these rivers ... not much gravel and the rivers get too warm in the summer. It was kind of sad to see fish fanning on a solid slab of slate, but the fish was still fun.
