The salmon were running pretty good today in the lower Salmon River after a heavy rain last night moved though the area. Water temperature 62 degrees with a lot of leaves. Visibility was only about 12". I was swinging this 3" marabou cut-shank off a medium MOW tip 2.5' sink and a 5' tippet of 12lb. test Maxima ultragreen.

The salmon wanted nothing to do with it but it got slammed by this 28" buck steelhead. My best of the season so far.

Beautiful!

I've been after a rainbow about that size every year for the past ten here. I've hooked up with some real big fish but they have a way of escaping befor I could ever have a picture like that.

Keep em coming,

Ard
