I am hoping to get laid off in the next week or so (long story) and want to take a steelhead trip before I really start looking for a new job. What rivers will be fishing well the first few weeks of Nov.? Anywhere in the NW, OR, WA, BC, Idaho, etc.

It is getting cold up here and the summer runs are hunkering down - if you have a sense of adventure and don't mind ice and fishless days you can come and search for early winter runs, the numbers have been down in the last few years though! They are a spectacular fish.

There will be plenty of fish in the Clearwater, Snake and Ronde for sure. Also, the Ronde should have plenty of water by then as well.

The rivers Gator mentions should just be heating up and will fish well through December.

Head east, young man!
