After 6 days of being skunked on the river I tied up some small olive wet flies on TMC 200R size #4 hooks. With the heavy angler pressure and low 350cfs flows this year I haven't been having much success with my larger Intruders and Marabou swinging flies.
Water temp. this morning was 49 degrees. Within 15 minutes of starting this 23" male took on a short swing.
About 45 minutes later this 30" male grabbed the same fly and I thought this was going to be a banner day! But the wind came up and put many leaves in the water slowing the bite. Fished for a couple more hours before calling it a day.
