Low water conditions continue this week so I put the Olive wet fly on again today. Tied it on the stronger Daiichi 2151 size #2 hook. Swung it with a slow sink 2.6ips polyleader and 5' tippet of 12lb. Maxima ultragreen.

Water temp. today was 47 degrees. Nice calm day, no problem with leaves. I only had one tug mid morning. Even the pinners were having a slow day. This 27" male put up a fine fight.

Carefully revived for the release.

Nice Pics. Will be out in the AM. Will be swinging some small to mid size intruders again.

I have been using my 540 grain Skagit compact head on the Echo 13' -7wt. rod. With the low water conditions I probably could have switched the head out and put on my Rage compact head for a more delicate presentation but I'm too lazy

LOL.... Same here Paul on all accounts. Put a skagit on for the first time in a few years to chuck some big Intruders. Should have changed it back a couple weeks ago to a Rage or A/F scandi. Its not pretty but it sure does get it out real easy. Heading out now.
