Yeah, another Daybreaker. I am honored that others would want to tie one of my flies, and feel very humbled and inspired today. It's funny how inspiration can be a daisy chain..... The color combo for this fly is inspired by my friend, Jon Harrang's fly the Copper and Claret. The inspiration to tie it came from fellow tiers here on the forum. And, that's what makes this such a cool place.

Copper and Claret Daymaker:

Recipe for those interested:
Tag: Flat copper tinsel
tail: Claret dyed bleached Golden pheasant tippet fibers
Rib: Small oval copper tinsel
Body: Flat copper tinsel
Underwing: Reddish Silver Monkey fur (Sub. with pine squirrel)
Hackle: Claret Marabou
Collar: Claret Schlappen
Throat: Hooded merganser flank (or american widgeon)
Wing: Four Cree rooster hackles
Sides: Jungle cock

I can see myself fishing this fly on a crisp October morning, Daybreak to be exact.

That is everything a modern steelhead fly should be, so well done!
