Great meeting everyone up on the banks of the scenic Merrimack! The rain held off thru the day and I'd estimate we had two dozen folks show up to whip up the water with the long rods. Not quite the headcount of the Sandy River Clave but for our neck of the woods it was quite a showing and next year should be even bigger.

Topher did a fantastic job presenting and tutoring people through the day. Having a full time LL Bean Instructor on hand sure didn't hurt! I also throughly enjoyed both the opportunity to talk about spey casting and work with people on their learning curve.

It was a casual unstructured kind of event even though we started out on a schedule we kind of went ad hoc thru the day and capped it off with a fantastic dinner at the Common Man in Concord NH.

The swallows kept the riverside bugs to a minimum and the river seemed to tell of the tens of thousands of salmon who once swam in it's flows, many moons ago. Crying shame really how we damned the once epic atlantic population in that river and it's headwaters on the Pemigewasset River.

Anyway, we had a great time and people's comments were very encouraging. It seemed folks picked up a lot from the day and I think I can speak for Topher when I say we both picked up a lot from each person willing to listen in the act of sharing what we know about it too.

Charles, that Springbank was incredible stuff. Makes me want to sign up for the "Scotch and Salmon" trip

Nick, thanks for spreading the word and the information on spots and directions. It was great that you could stop by.

It was really a pleasure meeting all of you and thanks for coming! Really a fantastic time, let's do it again soon!

[1]My only regret is not having time for those interested in the Atlantis casting techniques. I will make time specifically for that perhaps in the actual beach setting, even if I have to meet everyone who asked one-on-one through the season. My apologies.[/1]

Some coolish and wet weather notwithstanding, a great event!

Many thanks to Juro for providing a seemingly endless supply of Spey rods and reels (even though you are the CND guy, the arsenal is impressive!) and for organizing the Clave. Well done!

It was a pleasure to interact with so many enthusiastic Spey casters. It was even better to see so many of your casts coming together. Also very well done!

thanks to Juro and Topher

as i drove for two hours (in the rain), I had to wonder if it was going to be worth it. Was it ever! Both Topher and Juro gave excellent demos and personal instruction. I know that my casting will improve because I attended.
It was also a great opportunity to cast a bunch of CND rods and different lines.

Juro and Topher . . . didn't get a chance to thank you in person when I had to leave (you were helping others with their casting) . . . so just wanted to say thanks now for a great event that really helped Lori and me cast better.

Just a note to say thanks to Juro & Topher for an excellent event. I truly enjoyed myself and come away with a good understanding of spey casting. I had never even attempted a spey cast and by days end they had me firing out line like I had been doing it for years. Great job guys & Thanks.
Juro, please keep me in mind for the Atlantis session whenever you can get to it.
