Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new light spey reel. I don't want to spend my good arm for one. I found these on the net, TFO 425 and a Teton spey reel.

Which would be the better buy, I think they are comparable in price. They don't have or I can't find a dealer here in the Toronto area so I don't know how they perform or feel.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Glenn

You might also want to try Doaks in New Brunswick. They carry that brand of reel and they are pretty accomodating when it comes to shipping out of province.

They can be found at w ww.wwdoak.com

We also have a good shop here in Halifax. Try them at w ww.fishingfever.ca

They have a good selection of the larger reels for two-handed rods.

There's also Jim Williams at w ww.just-reels.com. He carries a large selection of pre-owned equipment & you can get some nice deals on really high-end stuff.

Good luck.

The TFO 4.25 is a workhorse. Great value that will perform.

The Nautilus is another great reel that has developed a solid reputation.

Great customer service from both companies as well.
