On the UK board folks were talking about this new series of lines. Willie Gunn appears to be the only one whose actually tried one of the lines. Anyone else? For sale on our side of the Pond yet?

Lines come as full floaters, intermed. sink, and full sink lines.

Ian Gordon Partridge Lines

Fred,
At the GGACC Nov 6 charity auction I purchased an "Ian Gordon Spey WF 9/10F Short Head." Its head is 69.5 feet long and weighs 740 grains.

My buddy purchased the "I.G. Spey WF 10/11F Short Head." Its head is 71.5 feet long and weighs 775 grains.

A couple of GGACC friends and I cast both with a T&T 1409, and the lines feel similar, but all agree the 10/11 is a bit easier to cast well with that rod.

I'll send you the 8/9 tomorrow. Let me have your opinion.

Bob,
Are you measuring to the colour change or to the length of the head?
On those lines the two are not the same. The idea being that you pull the colour change to hand rather than peering up the rod to see where the change is.
