Looks like a salar slayer to me :smokin:
I do not recognize the fly at all as a pattern , no idea as what the name is .
It could be a local favorite , or the product of a flytyer's creativity at the vise .

Are you asking for a call out on the recipe ??

From The Pick I can see Peacock Herl, and Ostrich Herl, Chartreuse floss Silver possibly embossed, Looks for sure like a pattern out of Quebec based on the style

This picture was taken from a video. Hooké they are called and it was used to fish the Gaspé area rivers. I'm a beginner fly tyier so the pattern would have been very helpful.

I agree with Mike that it is most likely a creative tier at work.

While I could very well be wrong, it looks to me like someone's "Spey" style, inspired by a Rutledge.

This fly in my opinion is a personal creation of one of the guys from Hooké. It looks suspiciously like the 'Watch Out' with these two little green wings on the side.

Based off the photo, I don't think so. The pictured fly appears to have a beard/collar of peacock sword fibers.

I would hazard a guess and say we have a winner .
Like I mentioned before , it could be the creative juices of a flytyer flowing at the vise and the fly pictured could be a variant of the Watch Out .

I've been eagerly awaiting the answer to this question. This morning I saw what I believe may be this fly tied by a man named
Daniel Duval.Does this name ring a bell w anyone ?
