Been tying with Nayat hair for quite some time and thought I would share my experience as it has been very good so far, in fact i no longer use fox or templedog for tying scandi style salmon flies, after washing and brushing you have an amazing hair, so much that you can even treat this fur like a synthetic hair, because it is so long sometimes you can get 2 or 3 flies from the same length of cut hair, even if you cut at flat angle there is no need to waste, it is simple just to pull out the middle hairs to form a taper and if you like one cut from tapering scissors produces very nice material, just like a synthetic hair.
some photos of flies tied from same bunch on small tubes from foxy tails.

Hi Mike,

my guess would be sheep, or asian goat once it is washed and straightened with brush, it becomes very nice, when you first see it is not very inspiring, i dismissed it as a saltwater of predator material which was a big mistake:)
