I spent saturday on the Rogue with Peter Tronquet, president of NFS and long time friend. We were escorted by guide Rich Zellman. We were fortunate to land two steelhead and two nice native trout. It was a great day followed by a wonderful dinner with some nice people interested in fishing, casting, and conservation.
Yesterday we enjoyed a clinic provided by Henrik Mortensen & Henrik Andersen of Zpey Systems. They donated their time to NFS which used it as a fund raiser to members. I used this opportunity to absorb their methods and ideas. I also used the day to capture some images of fisher persons spending a day on a wonderful river thinking of little else but casting and new & old friendships.

1st photo-The big version of the fly I used on saturday that got some attention from the fish. This one is 4 1/2".I used the 3 " version Saturday. Both tied by Don Williams of Prince George.
2nd " -Henrik M using an air load to get to a single spey
3rd " -Henrik M showing the Zpey rod and line system
4th " -Rick Koe-avid Mortensen disciple,friend,fishing companion.It shows in his casting!
5th " -Rick Koe
