Here is my two cents on the definition of Skagit Casting. Some of the casts in the video aren't exactly true to my own definition but I think my definition is pretty accurate and will help people figure it out.

Well done. You nailed it reinstating [skagit-casting] is just a spey cast, and that there are in fact just as many variations in making a basic fundamental spey cast as there are casters.

My definition of a skagit-casting is spooling on a skagit head.

Too many words to be effective.
Actually, I appreciate that because I agree. I'm gonna do a retake for and narrow it down to one minute, scripted out, way less wording and more to the point.

fall

Why is your shirt so wet around the 7:50 mark?
yeah, shocking right? I fell in during the middle of the "shoot" and filled my waders to the brim. It was a pretty soggy experience after that.:hihi:

Thanks for posting. I just ordered my first Skagit head for casting bigger flies and this is exactly what I need to learn.

This is a good video to learn on.
Also watch "Casting with Ed" on OPST youtube channel. Good luck!

Also, this is how I like to cast heavier flies.
