Reelaholic
I think I met the ultimate reelaholic while saltwater fishing this past spring in Cuba. We were travelling together with our guides, and I met a gentleman from St. Jean, Quebec. We rigged up beside the car & while I was cradling my new evotech I glanced at the hardware he was carrying. A stunnng McNeese salmon model (on his bonefish outfit), and for permit fishing a Seamaster Mark 2. This man had some equipment - also along for the trip but not fished that day was a collection of older Fin-Nors, a Hayden reel, Bo Mohlin Dual Mode, Abels, ... you get the picture.
We discussed Atlantic Salmon angling & two-handed rods. He informed me that his collection included not less than 3 Saraciones, a couple of Robichauds, and 7 Bogdans.
He admitted it straight up - he liked shiny things.
