Your first tube?!?!?! This coming from the same guy that gave me a TUBE vise and a wad of tubes/accessories in a trade?!?!? Haha you crack me up Wayne, one of these days I'm coming out just to see your gear room!

As far as the tube goes I don't tie many but I would have the utmost confidence tying that thing on!

Looks Good!

I would fish that all day long.

My only critique is to cut the hook guide a little longer. Also, when cutting the hook guide use a razor, it's a much cleaner cut and does not squash the tube.

The last part of my rant. Consider using a straight hook unless your using the tube with a trailer. (it looks like you have an up eye) The straight eye will sit a little neater. (I use owner mosquito's size 4 and 2, or a large egg style)

That's all I got for ya. Nice tie.

It looks good to me Wayne, I tie and fish plenty of them. +1 on the Owner hooks and if you want to trail the hooks look up tying the Jam Knot, I use this know and have no problems. It allows you to trail the hook but retain the tube should the hook break off.

Looks good.

Shorter the bottom two portions of the wing. The bottom layer should be the length of the tube, the middle layer should extend to about the rear of the hook, and the top portion should be the longest extending about two times the length of the tube. Also, the bulk should be distributed about 50-40-10. 50% of the wing should be the bottom layer, 40% the second layer, and the top, longest portion should be the least bulk. Thats for a 'traditional' scandi type fly and the wing really flattens out and looks great with a more tapered profile.
