Actually Hal, the river was pretty low at the time.
Old memory here only but the dam was putting out about 1700 cfs and where we were down stream ... maybe 22-2500. Not bad for fishing at all.
The next weekend, after a huge shot of rain! HOY Vey. Where most of the pictures were taken was under 3 foot of water. As noted earlier, only By God's Grace did I 'dodge the bullet' on the choice of weekend.
Rivers still too high for fly fishing at this point. Bummer as there's lots of fish in the top end of the river. Went out Sat AM (same place where I hit all the fish the weekend before) and after two steps off the bank .... said to 'self,' "Self you could get you're self killed." The good news part was I stepped in behind a log so had a water break; the weekend before I would have been in not much more than boot top deep water. Last Saturday: Two steps and I was up to mid thigh.
