I concur…7+ mid arbor. It becomes a great crossover reel for saltwater too. 9+ is a much bigger reel. I wish they made an 8+.

Agree with the above. Mid Arbor 7plus is great. 9plus is gigantic.

I have a 9+ I fish on 13'6" rods and find it just right, but they are 8 weights. I put 150 yds. of 30 lb. backing and a mono shooting line and I'm limited to a shorter shooting head. Definitely go mid-arbor.
