what type of loop would work best on the end of my floating speyline. want to put a loop on the end so i can use sink tips on the end. any info would be appreciated. thought about folding the line over on itself but i think the loops would be to big.
I would try some of the braided mono loops that you can find at most shops. However, don't buy the larger ones rated for lines 8-10wt those are the ones you would use for cutting your line back for serious tips. If you use the larger ones you will notice your sinking leader having a bit of trouble turning over. This will also depend on the type of floating line you have? You may find yourself cutting back the line a little more than normal with these sinking leaders. You will be able to fine tune this system to your liking. Hope this helps.
