I have a Guideline switch with single foot guides that is a pain on retrieve with loop to loop connections on a Airflo shooting head. Anyone know of a cure?

I suggest welding the loops at running line to head connection.
Place the shrink tubing directly over the loops and apply heat.

It will leave a bump but not snag on the guides.

agreed. The problem is more the loop connection than the guide style, I've had the problem on sf and snakes, and the answer, ala Peter Charles years ago, is welded necks on the loops. You might be able to find his original thread w/illustrations if you use the search function.
regards,
Bob

If the guides have an inside ring diameter that is too small for the line you are using that can also be a problem. I never go smaller than size #8.

If all else fails

Replace the single foot guides with snakes, big ones. :chuckle:
