No . They are either a left-hand , or a right hand retrieve reel .

This is from the Loop website ;;Available in either left or right-hand wind, each reel is individually numbered and presented in a handcrafted leather case. With its old world ‘classic' looks and ultra-modern braking power, this reel is tradition with attitude.

I had seen the Loop info however, I recall a post that claimed it could be changed. Apparently difficult to do but not impossible. I asked because as you know you don't see as many left hand wind reels on ebay.

Thanks,

Well if you were quicker on the draw the one I just sold was a lefty :)

I have heard it was hard if not impossible to reverse the drag mechanism. Reeling right aint so bad...

There was a guy from Sweden selling the reels on Ebay not too long ago that apparently had a good supply of all 3 sizes of the Classic , as he could provide a reel in either right , or left hand retrieve . I don`t know if he is still selling though , as I haven`t checked lately .

PS I feel your pain re scarcity of left-hand reels , as I`m a sowthpaw myself .

From what I've heard, it is possible to switch these reels from L to R (and vice-versa). However, I've heard that it's very complicated. This info is on the authority of Amy Hazel - owner of the Deschutes River Angler in Maupin, OR. They are Loop specialists - website is deschutesriverangler.com. I would call/email them for more definitive info.

Good luck.
