Hi
The price of petrol (gasoline) here in UK is now touching almost $8 (US) per gallon.
My Saturday salmon fishing trip of 164 miles is now costing me $40. Getting a bit sore on my pocket money and I either need to cut back or get me a motor bike.
I love my annual trip to Florida and the price you guys pay for gas compared to back home in UK.
Is gas cost an issue for you in your fishing?

Mike,

it is fast becoming an issue for me. I think we have had it relatively cheap in Canada for a long time, but now I am paying $1.10--$1.20/liter compared to prices of around $0.60/liter a few years ago. Most of my fishing involves a 3hr - 4hr drive plus time moving from place-to-place, so gas for a weekend's fishing can cost a small fortune.

In Norway we are used to high petrol prices, but the last months the price is about $1.90/litre so that is a little too high even for us. Especially since the government has about $250.000.000.000 in the "oil fund".
