Hi,

Just wondered if anyone out there has got or has used a Loop Green 1510? If so what lines work best? I'm particularly interested in longer belly lines, Grandspey, Partridge etc. Which would be the best weights to go for?

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Hi Sam!

Simon has a list of line recommendations for this rod on the RIO site. You can see it here:

http://www.rioproducts.com/pages/speyrecs.asp

The 9/10 or 10/11 GrandSpey are recommended, depending on how you like to cast. My preference is the 9/10.

I just cast the new Partridge lines at Spey-O-Rama and they are dandy. I have not cast these on the 10150 but I cast the 10/11 on rods simillar to the 10150 and I'd say a 10/11 would be fine.

Another line I can recommend is the Carron Jetstream. These lines placed 3 casters in the top 5 at Spey-O-Rama. Go with the 85 foot head in the 10/11.

Hi Dana,

Hope you are feeling better. Thanks for the reply. I'll have to get my hands on couple of lines to try. Hadn't considered the Carron. Another one for the list.

Cheers,

Sam
