I have what I thought was a 550 Airflo Scandi head. The tag is stamped 550 gr.
Airflo does not currently offer a 550 Scandi, but a 540.
Question: Does anyone know if Airflo did in fact manufacture a 550 gr scandi head and is this in fact what I think it to be.
Thanks!

airflo original scandi

Yes,they did make a 550 scandi, discontinued several years ago. It had a heavier tip diameter than the current light blue compact scandi, so it turns over poly leaders or big wakers better. That line seems to be the right colour. It should be around 42' long.
I use one that I trimmed 30" out of the belly to get the weight down to about 500 grains and spliced back together to save the back taper and factory loop. It really flies off my Guideline LeCie 13789-4 with a 15-18' mono leader and soggy bombers or cone head tube flies. Works well with Airflo 10' sinking polys too. My go to floater for the rod.
Tight lines,
Chris

Looks like a Rio Skagit Flight (recently discontinued) to me. They are ~25' and came in 550 with weight labeled at the rear of the line.
