Was wondering what type of lines fellow DH's use for shallow,clear saltwater(2-8 feet).I will be pursuing sea-run Cutthroat with a 12'6" 4/5.Do you think line color makes a difference?I'm thinking about a Hardy shooting head in a clear int. sink tip.The floating portion is a robin egg blue and has somewhat of a longer front taper than most shooting heads for a more delicate presentation.Could always add a polyleader too.Any thoughts would be great.

Sounds perfect. I use a Snowbee sky blue head with either a long mono leader for poppers, or I'll put on a clear int. polyleader. I'm able to either overhead, or do a switch cast if back-cast condtions are crowded.

What is the make of your rod?

Hi Tom,it's a 12'6" 4/5/6 Meiser Highlander.I bought the blank from Robert and getting it built from a rodbuilder here in Victoria.He's taking too long!
