I just bought - very cheap - an old Scott G1409/4 which will be my first spey rod and I need some help selecting the right line for it.
I would prefer a multitip line and was thinking if there are any multitip DT spey lines around ?
Alternatively I looked at the Cortland Spey Change-a-tip but am unsure which weight to go with - the 8/9 or the 9/10.
Or just go with a set of different DT lines - a floating and several sink tip lines.

I appreciate any held you can offer - I would like to get it right the first time.

I have this rod. A Rio Midspey 9/10 works well with it, as does a Windcutter 8/9/10. I was fishing the Hoh this Spring with the Midspey 9/10, and a 15' #6 sink tip, with tip #2 removed, and the rod handled this set up just fine.
