Hello everyone,

First of all, I have to say that i'm just beginning with double handed rods and that i'm not all that familiar with them.
I've just bought a Scierra EDP 14' #10/11 rod with a Scierra SL 10/12 reel. But I'm still looking for the right fly line to complete the set. What do you experts suggest? I will be using it for salmon in south-norway on medium rivers.

I would go for a Midspey, Rio #9/10/11 with tips.

Nice Choice

The rod is designed to load with a shooting head of 35 -36 grams (560 grains). It will certainly throw up to about 800 but for optimal performance use it as designed, do not overload the tip. As the line bellies get longer the weight will go up a bit but keep the design point in mind.

Personally I would use a Power Taper 9/10 at 12m in length.

Thanks for the good advice! Think i'm going for a GUIDE line. I'm presuming I can use tips from a scierra multi-tip system #9?
