Orvis is dumping both their short and long spey lines on their website. The short line says type 1, but I called and was informed it was a floating line. The long is called type 3, but not being interested in one, I did not inquire if it was a floater, but the odds of Orvis selling a type 3, 80 foot head spey line? Pretty low...
Oh yeah, it would seem the Vortex reel is going the way of the dodo as well... Too bad, I've used my 7/8 with gelspun as a ten weight for bluewater fishing for years... Easy and cheap spool swap too. Just a little heavy...
