Larry

Great post, Pork. the LT Spl is a deadly fly, for sure. It got me to thinking, I had couple of LT Spl's that Larry tied for me a few years before he passed away- sure enough, I dug around the boxes and found them, so I threw one on the scanner today. Also found a photo (taken by Jack Rowell) of Larry around 1995 when he was nearly 80 y.o.. He was like a deer in the woods, we much younger dudes could never keep up with him. A fine gent, generous and of great spirit and humor, he's missed by many.
Best,
John

Glad to see Larry get some recognition. He was truly a neat guy. Met him out on the Cains River many time guiding his sports. Always looking to help someone out. Took great care of the river and anyone he met.

+++ Agree 100%. Whenever I fished with Larry, he insisted I fish through the pool first and he would always tell me what fly was working(didn't lie like the rest of us). Not only that but his LT Special is a dynamite fly especially in the fall or colored water.......and that's no lie!

Nice variation and tie Pork.
