With the current boots (older versions required more) I would say 1 to 1.5 up-size. My normal shoe is 10.5. Korkers Chrome Sz 12 are very nice fit.

Sell Korkers boots at the store. Sizing seems to be dependant on the model chosen since foot width varies. I think the Chromes (most expensive) seem to fit two sizes up for most. Best is to try them on but you ruled that out. Not all size (whatever) even within lines from one manufacturer are created equal. I usually wear Simms and even each of their models fit slightly different. I prefer to buy on the big side as you can always stuff a pair of insoles in or wear extra socks. Best of luck with your quest!

korkers sizing

I wear a 9 - 9.5 shoe and go for an 11 in the Korkers chrome. I have used 2 sizes up on several models, and 10's were too tight 5 years ago. Especially important for thick socks. Also the size of your wader feet may affect this. My Pat's are much tighter than my DB's with the boot on.

I agree with Stumpy. I wear Simms G3 Medium King waders and my foot size is 8.5 to 9 (US). I bought size 10 Korkers and they are fine. At first, I though there was too much room, but now they feel very comfortable. If I could have bought a size 9.5 Korker, the fit would have been spot on. Now, I don't notice that they are on and the traction with the studded soles has been great. Another good feature of the boots is the replaceable soles. They have been flawless in staying on without any issues. The BOA lacing would work better if Korker used plastic wheels instead of rounded eyelets with tubes for their cables. There is too much friction for the cable tension to work with the 'eyelets toward the toe.

I go two sizes up whenever I get wading boots. It really depends on just how cold the water you are wading in. The one river I wade most often is dammed and stays cold year-round to where one pair of heavy wool socks inside of 3mm neoprene bootie isn't enough to stay even comfy cool that I need two pair with room for circulation inside a size 13 boot.

I must be the oddball. I wear a size 10 street shoe and my Korker Chromes are a size 10. With a thin pair of wicking socks and one of heavy wool they fit just right not tight, but not sloppy. This is with either my Orvis or Frog togs waders.

I've got the older Korkers and normally wear a 12.5/13 so I ordered the 14's but wish I would have got a size 15. I lost my big toenail from the boots being too small and forgetting to trim the nails short before a week long trip.

Agree with most boots.

Yes i agree 2 sizes up is a safe bet.
Two types of wading: wader and 'wet wading' in the summer. Sport a size 10 shoe and for waders I've found two sizes up gives you plenty of 'toe room.' For wet wading I'll use the Simm's neo-booties and just a cotton sock underneath. There one size up seems to work well.

But 'toe room' is the key; a boot that's too tight will kill a days fishing faster than 'a speeding bullet.' Other thing to keep in mind with sizing is the width of the boot. Where 'manufacturers' got there idea of the size of the average American's foot totally escapes me. The other thing is your foot will 'spread out' the longer you've been standing so keep this in mind as you size/choose a boot.

cabelas boots

I bought a pair of cabelas boa lacing boots last summer. I even tried them on with the waders in the store. I wear a 12-13 boot and the 13 wading boots fit great. Due to a knee injury I wasnt able to use them until last weekend and as soon as I got in the water, they absolutely were killing my right foot on the outside near my small toe. I am guessing the water pressure tightened things up enough to be a problem, I had to sit out for a bit. Need to see if they will take them back and try a 14 (which the store does not carry and I will have to try online).
