Hi
A friend of mine is planning on fishing the Kalma third week in April
for a day or two. I'm looking for any information that might help his trip be an enjoyable one, Rod's, lines, flies Etc.
Thanks in advance
Rick

The Kalama?? Southwest Washington?

If thats the case well you'll have the possibility of finding a summer steelhead on a type three sink tip of 15 feet long on an 8wt rod 9- 14 feet..

not my first choice for river or time of year but you could possibly hook into one of the remnants of the famous springer run

try mudders thats about the best bet but any standard steelhead pattern is fine

Oh and this is the peak of the spring chinook season so expect lots of boats floating over all the steelhead runs

Oh Man, the 'KlamaBama.' Washingtons version of the

North Umpqua.

The Toutle (til the mountain bust its top) was THE river (sorry you OP guys); ... but the Klama is Washingtons most beautiful river, fish, etc.

Sigh ............................................... The only Wash. river I really miss.
