Technology...

While I do not think the idea is super crazy I just do not see it happening due to some limitations with the technology. A big part of spey casting is feel and with the Wii controllers you would never be able to duplicate that feeling of load in the hands.

Could be a fun game on rainy days though!

I saw some years ago a demo of a fairly convincing 'electronic' fish fighting machine - you are connected to it via a rod & braided line, and you are supposed to get the feel of the fight -...

But that was on a 'bass bug' rod, and NOT casting.

I'd not be surprised if the Japanese were not already working on a 'casting feel' machine. :whoa:
