There is something about the Snow Fly wing that just looks so right when set properly. And the subtleties in getting it right.

Just added these to my list for the Steelhead trip later this fall...

Great looking fly, well executed!
that fly is uber fishy, Josher.
i like the hot butt.

everyone likes the hot butt.
Very nice indeed.
I can see that fly working pretty much everywhere I fish. Well played.
Certainly one of the nicest snow flies I've seen. Nice job PBR.
Yes yes yes! I just tied up a half dozen snow flies the other day... Guess I'll need a dozen more just as you've done here! I love it
Beautiful fly, well tied and fishy as all get out!.

Noice one!

I would agree - great style. I've never done one but you're making them very tempting - especially in purple.
I love the use of the JC and woody in the second one! Please keep them coming, I haven't been this inspired in a while!!
Fair enough

When I build the wing, I start at the feather eye and work my way down one side, cutting fibers and hand stacking them to ensure the tips are close to being all lined up. Once I reach an amount of fibers I feel is sufficient for one side, I tie them on with two wraps, and start the opposite side in the same manner. Before I just stripped the fibers off the rachis and hand stacked the ends close as possible, and set as one large wing.

I also received some tips on folding the fibers whilst still on the rachis...

well you can't just say that and not let us all know what the subtleties are...lol
great flea! ;)
Amazing tie.

And a new one on me.
Got me thinking of snow covered river banks and cold winter steel :smokin:
Very nice work .

The second is very nice, and would be great to hear about the results.
Don't expect too hear much soon, Dingle, as this time of year pbr's can barely tear himself away from baseball coverage long enough to tie, let alone fish.
