I have been following the "chum crisis" and sent my own several emails. The one to Paul McGillvary came back to me but the others apparently went through even though I have recieved no responses.

On Monday I get a brand new shoulder and will be off work (and unable to cast) for 3 months or more. On of my goals for that time is learn to write better letters to politicians.

As I was writing to the "chum gods" it occured to me that somewhere in the past I have seen a study that compared the value to the local economy of a sport caught (and released) steelhed vs. a commercial by-caught (and killed) steelhead. I can't seem to locate it though. Has anybody seen it or remember it? It's good to be armed with facts when speaking with politicians.
