After playing with the 300 grn and the 10'8"4wt I have I think I might have found an amazing trout tool. what do you guys think. I have done a complete review on it on my Trout Spey Blog, if your interested.
I'm not a fan. I tried it on my 6wt switch rod. I think the running line section is still too thick. It's pretty clunky through my guides when I spey cast it. The spool I got also has some quality control issues. I'm probably going to send it in for warranty. But with that said, it cast's heavy streamers well over short to medium distance. I just think it could be redesigned a bit better for spey style casting. For overhead casting it works great. But the whole reason to own a switch rod is to be able to spey cast it. That's my two cents worth.
