Just pop the spool off and note the position of the pawls....they are set at the factory for right hand retrieve....just reverse each of the pawls from their present position and you have right hand retrieve. If you get into reel ( sorry had to ) screamer fish, like Dean river fish, you can engage both pawls to keep fish from over running the spool. That the way I leave my reel and don't bother with a drag. All I want to to keep the spool from over running itself.
